As befits our wider business interests in road car tuning and automotive repair we believe we can offer an enhanced partnership package to any potential sponsor, this combined with the BTCC's massive audience (2m people watch each race live on ITV4 and a further 35,000 attend the racing in person) means the BTCC and Thorney Motorsport offer huge potential for partners. We have created a brief partners proposal which can be downloaded from the bottom of the page.

Yamaha
A bike company sponsoring a car team? Well worked for Fiat and Yamaha in MotoGP and we are delighted to have such a strong brand on board with us in Yamaha. With Yamaha having a strong presence in British Superbike with Swan Yamaha and now in British Touring Car with ourselves it means that the bike to generator manufacturer can offer all encompassing access to top level UK Motorsport. Our deal with Yamaha also means that Thorney Offroad (our new off road division) has been awarded full Yamaha dealer status so we will offer a full sales and service capability for the range of Yamaha quad and SxS vehicles.
We are also lucky enough to get the use of a Yamaha Rhino SxS paddock vehicle so our guests can arrive and leave in style when attending races (the thing will also pull a truck and do 40mph......it's great fun!)
The Green Group
Motorsport is essentially a rolling roadshow of activity, we move from track to track under very tight timelines so a logistics partner is crucial to the smooth running of the team, in many regards it's the unsung hero of all of Motorsport so we are delighted to have found partner as strong in Green Group. Based in Rotherham, Green Group are a logistics and commodities trading company with a reputation for delivering on time every time and we are lucky to have them on board, the owners are all Motorsport fans and even their livery (black and green) suited us perfectly, expect the other teams to have truck envy when they see the brand new Man and Renault tractor units in the paddock.
Daily Mirror
We are delighted to have the Daily Mirror on board as our media partner, along with MJC Media we will be working with the Mirror to provide a variety of features on the whole World of motorsport from a view from the driver's seat to complete technical features on how we build and run an NGTC touring car.
Lucas Oils
Whilst every team on the grid has a lubricant sponsor we were quite selective in approaching Lucas. Not only do they have an amazing presence in the American off road racing scene (off road racing is as tough an environment as you can get in motorsport) but they also have a range of coolant and parts lubricants that we cannot do without in racing. One product we are trying out is their Super Cooler which can have a dramatic effect on the cars power by simply allowing the water temp to run lower, the Insignia VXR-R is turbo charged so anything we can do to reduce heat is needed. We will be testing this product on our road car upgrades as well.
Vauxhall Motors
Whilst we
have no direct financial support from Vauxhall without their help the
BTCC project would not have come into existence. Vauxhall offer us parts
and technical support for the entire program.
Polstore Cabinets
Polstore
have been instrumental in the supply and kitting out of our new race
workshop near Silverstone. Essential to our BTCC program was the
creation of the finest motorsport facility in the UK dedicated to the
team and our road product R&D and integral to this were the finest
cabinets available. Polstore continue to advise us on workshop systems
and efficient tool storage and useage for our race and retail workshops.
Due in part
to our extensive retail network of Performance Centres we have a
constant demand for team clothing from customers and dealers alike, in
the past we have struggled to maintain supply in this challenging
environment so this season we have elected to work with the UK's finest
team clothing supplier, Dread. Dread supply pretty much all the major
teams in almost every level of motorsport here and abroad so we are proud
to be associated with their high quality product, as a result of their
involvement our new team clothing (which will be unveiled at Autosport)
will be available both trackside and on line with the minimum of delay.
Eibach
Anyone in the race or road car tuning market knows and respects Eibach, there is no better spring supplier in the World. As befits their size Eibach are renowned for extensive development in their road car upgrades and this extends to working closely with us on the race development and road car upgrades. The two companies have worked together to develop a new range of Thorney Motorsport exclusive spring upgrades for the Vauxhall range starting with the Astra GTC 200, our latest limited edition Vauxhall model. This development will continue with future model releases.
Pipercross
We've been long partners of Pipercross working with them on developing filters and induction for our full range of Corsa, Astra, Vectra and Insignia upgrades as well as the full compliment of BMW tuning so it was no surprise we wanted to work with them on the BTCC project. Their G60 foam filters are the only ones we recommend in all of our road car conversions and are 100% reliable with no affect on delicate air mass meters that all Vauxhalls now have and most BMW's. Pipercross have helped us develop a custom intake for the Insignia VXR-R BTCC car a version of which is also used on our VXR-R road cars.
Stingray RV
Travelling round the UK racing cars does sound like fun but being away from home and family does take its toll, hotels are expensive and as a team we prefer to stay on circuit as it means we are near the cars all the time. So we have partnered up with the UK's leading RV supplier, Stingray RV to not only keep us pampered and properly housed whilst at the track but also to allow us a proper venue for meetings and entertainment with guests and VIP fans. In addition Stingray RV do seem to have managed to create an investment scheme whereby owning an RV is a lot more than a seldom used toy but as a real investment with an ROI that would put most Buy to Let deals to shame. relationship has lead to a wide range of excellent road car upgrades we
are both rightly proud of. Superchips are one of the UK's best known and
widely respected software developers and are integral to a range of
Vauxhall and BMW upgrades we have developed. Our continued partnership
has allowed us to develop new power and fuel economy enhancing software
for petrol and diesel models for car and commercial vehicles. They are
the only software company we have found to match our Vauxhall warranty,
that to us speaks volumes.

Recaro
Another long term partner of the team Recaro have been our choice of racing seat for over 10 years. A personal choice for John as well as a major accident at Silverstone whilst a passenger in a CSL Cup M3 could have killed him was it not for the strength of the Recaro seat and side mounts. New for 2012 season is the development of a range of Thorney Motorsport branded child seats so now you can look after your kids in the same style as we look after our drivers!
