CSL Cup @ Race Car Live

By CSL Cup

Following the hugely successful first season the CSL Cup will be attending the two day Race Car Live event at Brands Hatch. Race Car live is the only event in the UK where prospective drivers can come and inspect a variety of race series when looking to race next year. We will be attending with two E46 M3 CSL race cars which competed this year and will be out on track giving demonstration rides for anyone interested in competing next season. Technical representatives from Thorney Motorsport and the CSL Cup technical committee will be on hand for both days to give any advice on car builds for next season as well as explaining the new technical regulations for the new models being accepted into the CSL Cup next season.

The CSL Cup will be in Garage 24, the event runs on the 21st and 22nd November, tickets are free for ARDs members, contact MSVR [HERE] to obtain them.

Here are some season highlights from the Thorney Motorsport prepared CSL Cup cars..

All CSL Cup cars are fitted with in car cameras, some of the in car footage can be seen here. After each race all in car cameras are uploaded to the CSL Cup site for everyone to watch, most of these are available to watch in between races on race weekends.

Darren Humphrey - Race 1 - Croft
Jamie Martin - Race 1 - Donington
Nick Foster - Race 2 - Donington

In the first season the CSL Cup had 5 winners in 12 rounds with the series winner, Dan Stringfellow only winning the series at the last round at Snetterton. During the course of its first season great strides were made by all teams and drivers with some excellent lap times the result, most cars were under 51.5 seconds at Brands Hatch, several doing 1.12’s round Castle Combe and 1.14’s at Snetterton. These are quick cars and look and sound stunning. Come and have a chat, you’ll be surprised how cost effective a CSL Cup car be to prepare for a seasons racing.
