Your car is given a complete inspection (physically and electronically) to ensure everything is in perfect condition and run on the dyno to ensure that power delivery is as expected. We then upload new ECU code directly into the ECU to enhance fueling, ignition and power delivery.
Gains are immediately noticeable especially in the midrange and top end and enhance the drive significantly. The Thorney Motorsport exhaust is one of our best, the story behind its development was that TMS were contacted by BMW GB as they wanted a sports exhaust system for their track cars so we developed one especially for them, we're glad we did.

Two versions are available, one with a cat replacement pipe (no cat) which is more cost effective but will fail an MOT or any road side emissions test so is recommended for race car preperation and a 100 cell HJS race version which gives identical power but is fully MOT compliant. Constructed of type 304 stainless steel it won't rot and has a lifetime guarantee.

The addition of the full exhaust system releases even more power from the engine (the OEM system isn't bad but its restrictive and weighs a tonne) and allows us to extend the ECU map further to take advantage of this extra breathing. The noise is amazing, very subtle when cruising (quiet compared to most aftermarket systems for this model) but sounding fantastic when pushing on at high revs - really is one of our best.
As with all our work you get a complete dyno print out of your car before and after the work and get to try before you pay.

Now we're starting to get into engine modifications and the run really starts. The EVO engine is a perfect starting point for a track day car and onto racing as extra top end power is relatively easy to get via top end work. We only use Schrick racing cams for our BMW engine modifications. they're expensive but don't suffer from any reliability problems or premature wear.
The addition of cams (and ideally other engine work) raises the power profile higher in the range so is perfect for track work although midrange remains largely unaffected until you start messing around with the Vanos unit.

How much do you want to spend and what is sometimes more important for this level of tuning - how much are you allowed to do to comply with the technical regulations of the race series you're going to win ;)
We could fill pages and pages with the options available, everything from bottom end swaps, removal of Vanos units, head work, cams etc etc, everything up to 350bhp and beyond is possible (for a price).
