Focus RS Braking Upgrades

The FOCUS RS is a very capable car, you can drive it off the forecourt straight to your local circuit and it will lap it up. We spent a day with the guys at Redline at Llandow when our RS was standard, and true to our word everything lasted.

The first area of improvement though, is Braking. Whilst braking confidence is high, the speed decrease isn't as rapid as we'd hoped. We will be offering a range of braking upgrades for the MK2 RS, starting with Pad, Fluid and Hose upgrades and finishing with Track and Competition brake kits from Brembo, Alcon and AP Racing.

Focus RS Fuel Testing

Right, so you’ve saved up nearly £30k for a hot hatch, its top dog in the market, goes like the clappers, all the journalists love it and you’re pleased as a pleased thing, whats the first thing you do? Fill it full of cheap fuel. At this point all the car enthusiasts look shocked and say ‘ooh no, not me, I only put in good stuff’ but you’d be amazed how many people, enthusiast owners alike continue to put standard 95 octane fuel into their cars to save £3-4 quid a tank. Now you’d need to be blind not to notice the fact that we recommend the Tesco Momentum 99 fuel, its great, we’ve tested it for years and every test it beats everything else its almost monotonous. Why do we recommend the fuel? Because of data that we’re about to share.

Focus RS Handling Upgrades

Much has been commented on the RS handling as regards the Revo knuckle and the effect it has on the cars handling and there is no doubt the standard car moved the whole game forward in terms of dealing with torque steer. However as a race team we were pretty unimpressed with the overall handling of the car so have spent some time developing a variety of handling upgrades. We’ve tried a variety of lowering springs and suspension upgrades with the following recommendations...
