Whilst our history and reputation is based in the BMW and Vauxhall markets the bottom line is, the Focus RS is simply too good a car to ignore. From the moment a customer came in with one and we'd had a go, dyno’d it and inspected it thoroughly we knew it was a car we had to develop upgrades for. So, we bought one and spent a long time working on it with the conclusion of a complete range of upgrades for the car.
We took a different track with the Focus, rather than try and re-invent the wheel we decided that the best way was to test every possible upgrade for the car and then augment these upgrades with our own development, this allowed us to both thoroughly get under the cars skin but also learn a lot of but how others look at the car, the good, the bad and the downright weird.
It's been a fairly badly kept secret that we've been developing our Focus RS maps for a lengthy time period - it' from this development that we can announce we're now in partnership with JWRacing to supply APC AutoTech maps for the RS range.

The mapping procedure is much the same on all RS' models. We can do this remotely but it means the ECU has to be sent to us to unlock - leaving the car immobile!
We can also run the car before and after the mapping work, showing you the proven gains.

Stage 1 can be uploaded to the standard car. We do however recommend that you fit an uprated intercooler to maintain the power in the hot summer months. The stage 1 gives remarkable increases in BHP and Torque and is a great way to start tuning your RS.
The handheld unit will be supplied with 3 files for you to choose from; the Stage 1, Stage 2 and the newest Original CJ file. |

If you think of stage 1 as setting the foundations on the car so it can cope with more power stage 2 gets more interesting by actually doing exactly that – lots and lots more power and torque.
The Exhaust, Intercooler & Panel Filter allow us to run higher boost levels while maintaining a decent intake temperature. One of the benefits of working with JWRacing & APC AutoTech is that they both share the same view as we do – going for the highest number is not part of our ethos, we work to the best map to suit the car to create the best drive, a big BHP number for big numbers sake is for down the pub and not part of our development. |

With the extra powe and fuel needed for Stage 3 and above, we require the fitment of larger 550cc Injectors.
When purchasing the stage 3, we include the stage 4 map on our handheld unit so if you bought the stage 4 injectors you can re-map easily and quickly.
We also include a map that is suitable for the injectors, but much much closer to the standard power output, should you wish to use it. (Mrs?) |

The difference between stage 3 and 4 are the injectors. They are 650cc for stage 4 and 550cc for stage 3.
Fitment of the ITG (or equivalent) induction kits is compulsory! The handheld unit is supplied with stage 3, 4 and the latest CJ file included.

Full details are due to be released Q2 2011, with a Hybrid Turbo added to our Stage 4 conversion, we should see 430BHP safely. |
